Mike Massesnzio’s Team Iron Horse MMA has joined Phil Ross and his American Eagle MMA School. The Ross and Massenzio Team have been together for several years sharing training concepts, methods, ideals and of course training time.

American Eagle MMA & Kettlebells Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champions:
Newark, NJ – Was the Site of The NAGA North American Grappling Association’s World Championships- The American Eagle MMA Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team entered 7 competitors and came away with 5 place winners – 3 Champions and 2 second place finishers. The Champions were Shaun Scott, Matthew Dowling and Robert Litterio. The Second Place finishers were Paul Delisio and Spencer Ross. Coaches Mike Massenzio and Phil Ross were very proud of the performances put forth.
There were competitors from all over the US – as far away as Hawaii, Germany, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Costa Rica, as well as many other countries.
The American Eagle School conducts classes in Gi and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Defensive Tactics, Russian Kettlebells and is the home for the Team Iron Horse MMA Professional Fighters.

Mike brings his experience in the UFC Octagon, National Wrestling Championships and World Grappling Championships to his students and fighters.
Mike Massenzio’s Team Iron Horse MMA was established by the Iron Horse himself, Mike Massenzio in 2007. The team is comprised of burgeoning Pros as well as amateurs. Prospective fighters are schooled in the arts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing and Muay Thai to prepare them for combat in the cage. Students are schooled in the aforementioned disciplines and based on their performance, asked to join the Fight Team.

Mike Massenzio, St. Joseph (2001): Massenzio won back-to-back State championships in 2000 and 2001, going 72-2 in that stretch and finishing with a record of 129-13, third in Bergen County history at the time.

AEMMA Chief BJJ Instructor/Professional Fighter
Mike began his training in the Combat Arts at age 4 when he began Wrestling. A 2-time New Jersey State High School wrestling Champion (2000 & 2001), Mike has been touted as the “Best 171 lb. Wrestler” to ever come out of the State of New Jersey. Additionally in 2001, Mike was the U.S. National High School Wrestling Champion. In 2003 he was the Runner-up at the Junior College National Tournament and was crowned the National Champion in 2004.
In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling, Mike has won numerous competitions in both N.A.G.A. and Grappler’s Quest. In 2006 he was crowned the N.A.G.A. World Champion in the Expert Division of the Submission fighting competition.
As a Professional MMA Fighter, Mike currently has an astounding 12-3 record, holds the Reality Fighting and Ring of Combat Titles as well as being the area’s only fighter with a UFC contract.
Mike thrives on competition and challenges. He enjoys the preparation, hard work and immense sacrifice that it takes to become a champion. He loves training and sharing his knowledge with others, so they too may know what it’s like to experience the satisfaction of accomplishments.
